Kristen Jurn
Kristen's passion for aviation and cross-country flying began when she earned her private pilot license at 19 and flew her Cessna from Florida to Arizona.
After completing university and living in France, she worked as an international airline crew member and was flying as a lead pilot for the “Traffic Watch” in the Northeastern US metro areas.
Kristen’s aviation passion has developed into a career along with the evolvement of new technology aircraft and the ever-changing flying environment. She led the branding, client services and sales operations in the South Florida market for Cirrus SR22 shared-ownership and acted as a product specialist during the early years of the Very Light Jet (VLJ) category introductions.
She has since established an aviation specific consulting and business development firm specializing in new concept and innovative technology based aviation business models.
Kristen has over 1,300 hours of flying time and is a single, multi engine instrument and commercial rated pilot. She stays active in her local aviation community and has competed in three previous ARC cross country air races.
She is an active member of the Ninety-Nines International Women Pilots Organization, affiliated with the Florida Aero Club and serves as a Board Officer for the Greater Miami Aviation Association (GMAA).
Chelsea "Juice" Welch
Chelsea's love for aviation and introducing women to flying is entwined with everything she does. As the CEO of The Abingdon Co. - which introduced the first aviation watch women,
www.TheAbingdonCo.com - Chelsea works to bring more young girls and women into the field of aviation and seeing the world. She has worked with The Young Eagles Program as a mentor pilot for kids and taking kids on flights to show them the joys of flying and is an active member of different women's groups. Her own passion began when she heard a couple pilots come to her high school and spoke about seeing the world from the sky. Seven years later in 2006, she saved enough money to pay for her flight training and in 34 days and 43 hours, she earned her Private Pilot Certificate. Today she has over 1000hours of flight time and is a flight instructor out of Long Beach Airport.
