Air Race Chics 2011

Air Race Chics 2011, Kristen Jurn and Chelsea "Juice" Welch will be back to race the Centennial  Cirrus SR22 next year!



**MAINTENANCE FLIGHT DIFFICULTY HAS AIR RACE CHICS AIRPLANE GROUNDED!!

While preparing for the all-female pilot cross country 2011 Air Race Classic, maintenance difficulty resulted in damage to our race airplane. We are disappointed to report that our Cirrus will not be repaired in time for us to race this year.

Dating back to 1929, the race has evolved to become the Air Race Classic and marks 100+ years of flight for women pilots.

Air Race Teams consist of two licensed women pilots flying a course for four days under visual flight rules (VFR).

Navigational skills and experience savvy determine the leaders during the journey and define the winners at the finish line.

Weather has already impacted the race this year. The Air Race Chics are hoping for clear skies and tailwinds for our fellow racers as they begin from Alliance, NE tomorrow!
