In the spirit of 100 years of flight Kristen Jurn and Mayte Greco will be racing in a Centennial Model Cirrus SR22 this year!
Kristen and Mayte are preparing for the 2010 Air Race Classic. The 2,483 statute mile race will be a cross country flight through eleven states, all -female pilot air derby!
Dating back to 1929, this year is the 34th annual Air Race Classic, but 2010 marks 100 years of flight for women pilots (1910-2010).
Air Race Teams consist of two licensed women pilots flying a course for four days under visual flight rules (VFR).
Navigational skills and experience savvy will determine the leaders during the journey and define the winners at the finish line in Frederick, MD.
